Babolat RDC: Swingweight-Messung funktioniert nicht mehr

Hallo Leute

Ich hab vor einiger Zeit ein Babolat RDC gebraucht gekauft, das bis vor kurzer Zeit auch immer klaglos funktioniert hat. Im Herbst hat dann schon mal die Messung des Swingweights nicht geklappt (hat gepiepst und dann ist die Anzeige bei 0 stehen geblieben, die anderen Funktionien ließen sich auch nicht mehr bedienen). Nach einigen Wochen, ohne etwas damit getan zu haben, war die Messung des Swingweights wieder möglich. Heute jedoch wieder das gleiche Problem: Die Swingweight-Anzeige bleibt bei 0 stehen, die anderen Funktionen nicht mehr zu gebrauchen bis zu einem Aus- und Einschalten.

Ich hab den Deckel abgenommen und bemerkt, dass ein Akku (Varta Ni/Cd 3/V 100 R) wohl nicht mehr ganz dicht ist und etwas ausgelaufen. Ich nehme an, dass die Fehlfunktion daher kommt. Meine Frage: Hat jemand Erfahrung damit? Stimmt meine Annahme? Und: Hat jemand eine Quelle für Ersatz? Die Antworten im Web sind für mich etwas unübersichtlich …

Hallo NoNick,

ich habe keine Erfahrung mit einem Babolat RDC und ich ich kann Dir nichts zu dieser Fehlfunktion sagen, aber abgesehen davon steht außer Frage:
Nimm diesen Akku so schnell wie möglich aus dem Gerät, ehe das Elektrolyt aus dem Akku (beim Ni/Cd-Akku meist Kalilauge) in Deinem Gerät Schaden anrichtet.

Gibt es in Österreich kein Babolat Service mehr? Die Website von Hrn. Pöschl kann ich irgendwie nicht mehr aufrufen und auf der Wirtschaftkammerseite krieg ich die Meldung, dass es keine aktive Gewerbeberechtigung gibt …

Did you solve your problem with your Babolat RDC ? Did the battery replacement solve your problem ?
I have the same problem with the swingweight being always at 0.

I could not really "solve" it, just cleaned the inside and the board a bit so the electrolyte (and whatever came out of the battery) doesn´t do any (more?) damage. Since that the machine works. I tried to find a replacement for the battery but had no success. Even Varta, the manufacturer of the batteries used in my RDC, could not help me. January next year I will contact Babolat and see if someone there can give me any useful information.

Danke, das hat geholfen. Zwei Leute bei Varta haben für einige Zeit ihre Datenbank durchsucht und konnten mir nicht helfen …
Mit der Bezeichnung auf dem Akku hab ich bei meinen Recherchen auch nix gefunden.

Werd nach den Feiertagen bestellen und das Ding austauschen.

On my RDC, the battery seems quite in good condition and the Circuit board is clean. The potentiometer is also in good condition. If you have any idea of the failure leading to a Swingweight value remaining always at 0...
Also, do you know the technician mode access password ? (maybe i'll find something there...).

Hold down TEST button (5) for 3 seconds and screen asks for password. Using buttons across the RDC Panel note they are numbered from left to right (1) to (9)
Press Password: 1991 or (1) (9) (9) (1)

I now gained access to the technician mode, but of course didn't understand the various values presented on the screen. I only found that the 3rd left value is linked to the weight scale.
When I move the swingweight racquet holder, no value is changing. I don't know if this is normal. Does any value change when you move the swingweight racquet holder on your own RDC ?

If someone could provide me with more information about the utilization of the technician mode (test, ...)?

The value should be 100!
Try this - but you need the 3 calibration sticks.

Press "ETAL" to get to screen 24 for calibrating your RDC Swingweight numbers. The screen is divided into 3 rows, one for each rod value (252). (315), and (389). Screen will display current values and their corresponding correction as stored in memory.
Use "-->" button (7) to select which row you want to correct.
Using "+" and "-" buttons (5) & (6) make your correction.
When done, press "Valid" button (8).
Now you are done, Press "RET" button (9).

I don't really understand your statement "The value should be 100!": On the first screen, is there any value linked to the swingweight racquet holder position that should change when moving manually the holder ? (on my RDC, no value change on the first screen when I move manually the holder).

I had a look on the ETAL screen: All 3 correction values are currently set to 0. I didn't try to change them...

On the first screen, I finally noticed that the 6th value on the left actually changes when I manually move the swingweight racquet holder:
- At neutral position: it displays 8,88x10^2 (ie 888)
- Fully on the left: it displays 7,95x10^2 (ie 795)
- Fully on the right: it displays 1,017x10^3 (ie 1017)
Do you have such values on your machine ?

I didn't find the "100" value you are talking about... On which row is it supposed to be displayed ?

I think your memory is gone.
Fill the numbers in the rows - see my description.
When the display work again, you will see the number 100, when manually move the swingweight racquet holder.
